My Etsy site

July 18, 2008

I finally bit the bullet and put together a shop on Etsy. Etsy is an online community where you can create a shop and sell handmade items. Check it out at www.floweringleaf.etsy.com. I’m very excited to be able to provide you with the opportunity to purchase my jewelry online. Of course, for those of you in the Sacramento area, feel free to contact me for an appointment to see the jewelry in person.

Business Cards

July 1, 2008

I finally have something to talk about again! I have put off making business cards for the past year, but I finally tackled the task today, and it was a pain, but not as bad as I thought. Now the difficulty will be deciding which of the 6 possible cards I created will actually get printed.

Why, you ask, did it take me so very long to take care of such a simple task as making business cards? There are even sites, such as Vista Print, where you can get free cards and everything! My delima was with a logo. I wanted a logo I created myself that I could put on business cards, my eventual Etsy site, etc. However, I don’t have a great deal of confidence in my drawing skills, so I had a problem. Finally, I just went for it, and, after some time on photoshop, am pleased with the results. Once I make my final decision, you can see them here.

Have a great week, and happy beading!

My Jewelry

April 9, 2008

I love beads of every size shape and color. I often go to the bead store, not to add to my vast store of beads, but simply to pet and admire the beads that are there. I love glass, shell, wood, and stone beads.  I love pink, green, blue, black and purple beads. I love square, round, flat, and flower beads. Through my love of beads, I began making jewelry many years ago. And now, I make pendants, necklaces and bracelets. It was not enough to admire the glass beads made by others, I had to learn to make my own, which was amazing! Hopefully someday soon, you will see beads made by me on here.

I’m including some pictures of my work. Enjoy!

Thats all for now folks! Come back soon for another look into the beadaholic mind of Sara Sutter, proud owner of Flowering Leaf Jewelry.
